In collaboration with the Association of Flamenco Venues in Madrid in September the Museo Nacional del Prado and the Association of Flamenco Venues in Madrid joined forces to celebrate World Tourism Day with an event in which leading stars of flamenco and Spanish dance establish a dialogue with the masterpieces from the collection that are welcoming visitors to its current exhibition, Reunited. The performers include Antonio Najarro (artistic director and castanets performer), Manuel Liñán, Olga Pericet, Eduardo Guerrero and Jesús Carmona (flamenco dancers), Cristina Cazorla (bolera school) and María Mezcle (flamenco singer). The Museo del Prado and flamenco, the latter declared World Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 2010, are joining forces to support culture as a link that both connects and transcends frontiers.
