The Pasta Whisperer: Mi’s Italian Bistro Big Island

ca02b9_519d3b646d3c41bf90d57b1f8b0b2854mv2_d_3264_2448_s_4_2Mi’s Italian Bistro in on the waterfront in Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii dishes up the most scrumptious Meyer lemon tiger prawn linguini! Super satisfying after a day snorkeling with the wild spinner dolphins and green sea turtles at Two Step situated between Napo’opo’o in Kealakekua Bay and Pu’uhonua o Honaunau (Place of Refuge).

You can’t go wrong with their beet, green bean and arugula salad generously sprinkled with Maytag blue cheese and candied macadamia nuts. For entrees, the chef only serves up the best of what the island offers from Big Island grass fed beef to Island Style Cioppino to local produce grown in their own green house. The coffee is always 100% Kona. And they make everything in house from scratch from fresh pasta to bread each day, soup, salad dressing, and desserts. One of which, the Tiramisu, won first prize at the 2010 Kona Coffee Festival.
